Installation

Open https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227546/ai-glossary-for-confluence?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
Click the Get it now button in the top right.
Install to your Confluence instance.

Getting Started

Highlight terms on a page, click the dropdown and select AI Glossary+

Apps+ Support > AI Glossary+ for Confluence > start.gif

Type /aiglossary in the editor and select AI Glossary+

Apps+ Support > AI Glossary+ for Confluence > macro.gif

Click Apps then AI Glossary+ in the top navbar to view and approve human glossary definitions.

Security

Transparent technical details of the secure data flows in/out of Apps+

What	Text highlighted by the user.
Where	`api.appsplus.co/ai` running on Cloudflare.
Why	Sent to OpenAI GPT-4 model to return AI glossary definition of highlighted words.
Note	Refer to the OpenAI usage policies for more details.

What	Admin-entered email and user-submitted definitions if selected in configuration.
Where	`api.appsplus.co/email` running on Cloudflare.
Why	SendGrid handles our email notification system for new form responses.
Note	Refer to the SendGrid policies for more details.

What	`{app, host, user, prompt, result, timestamp}`
Where	Cloudflare Workers KV.
Note	`host` and `user` are anonymous Atlassian IDs. The `prompt` is also anonymized.
Opt-out	Opting-out of AI training in the settings will prevent external storage of this data.

FAQs

Yep! You can access the configuration options via two methods:

Apps in top navbar, click AI Glossary+ and then click the settings gear icon.
Apps in top navbar, then Manage apps, find AI Glossary+ and click the Configure button.

Then toggle enable the notifications, add your email and a custom subject line.

AI can be brilliant when it works, but often it'll return unexpected results. Here’s some tips:

Try highlighting a smaller text selection.
Avoid highlighting non-alphanumeric characters.

We use a custom trained AI model to return insights from your highlighted text selection on a Confluence page.

We will continue to improve the apps and release new feature improvements as Atlassian’s Forge platform matures. We’re also collecting training data to fine-tune the AI models so that they’ll become smarter and more useful.
