 Why is the word count hidden?

The word count will only display with a valid trial or paid license key in Server or Cloud. For detailed installation steps: https://confluence.atlassian.com/upm/installing-marketplace-apps-273875715.html

 How is the data updated?

Each time you create or update Confluence content the word count will reassess the content and calculate new values. For Jira you will need to refresh the page to see updated values.

 What do the shorthands in Jira mean?

The Jira issue glance displays S: {words} · {characters} | D: {words} · {characters} where S is the summary field and D is the description field.

 How many keywords are extracted?

The app filters out common words (and, or, is etc) and returns the top 30 keywords.

 The word count is incorrect

In Confluence we base the word count on the exported content view to attempt to include dynamic macros. However we generally cannot access words inside 3rd party macros. If the word count is wildly inaccurate please let us know so we can fix it: support@appsplus.co
